Applicants selected for Border Security Force Tradesman posts will receive a Pay Scale of Rs. 21,700-69,100/- (Pay Matrix L-3) of 7th CPC (Revised Pay Structure) and other allowances as admissible to Central Govt. employees from time to time. BSF Constable (Tradesman) 2024 Exam Pattern, Syllabus

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Structure

• BSF Constable Tradesman physical efficiency test requires male candidates to complete a 5-kms run in 24 mins, while female candidates must complete a 1.6-kms run in 8 mins & 30 secs.
• The PET will be only qualifying in nature, and it will not carry any marks.
• There will be no physical efficiency test for Ex-servicemen.

Written Examination Pattern

• BSF Tradesman written examination will be held Online as a CBT (Computer Based Test).
• The written exam will consist of one objective-type paper containing Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• The written examination will be divided into 04 (four) parts.
• There will be a total of 100 questions for 100 marks in the written test.
• Each MCQ will carry 01 (one) mark.
• The questions will be asked in bilingual languages, i.e. English & Hindi.
• The standard of questions will be commensurate with the knowledge expected from a class 10th pass candidate.
• The qualifying marks category-wise in written test are as under:-
  • 35% (i.e. 35 marks) for General, EWS & Ex-serviceman Candidates.
  • 33% (i.e. 33 marks) for OBC, SC & ST Candidates.
• The duration of the online written test will be 02 hours (120 minutes).
