According to the latest news, IIT Guwahati will organized GATE Exam this year from 03rd to 04th Feb and 10th to 11th Feb 2018 all over India. All those appropriate applicants who wish to apply for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering must have Bachelor and Master degree in relevant subjects. The GATE 2018 Online Registration link will be available on the official website (www.gate.iitg.ac.in) on all days from 01st Sept to 09th Oct 2017. As notified in the advertisement, the examination will be held in the month of February 2018 on Saturdays and Sundays only. Contestants will find a final schedule from the IIT Guwahati’s website. All the papers of Graduate Aptitude Test will be conducted through online mode (Computer Based Test). Here we notify every contestant that the score of GATE 2018 will be valid for a period of three years only. The organization will allow candidates to change their Choice of Examination City via GOAPS login only upto 17th Nov 2017. The authority will start issuing Admit Cards from 05th Jan 2018 while release GATE Result on 17th March 2018.

GATE Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: As per eligibility criteria for GATE, the interested applicants must have passed following Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from a recognized University/Institution with good academic records.
- B.Arch (five years course)
- B.E./B.Tech/B.Pharm
- B.Sc. Research/B.S.
- Professional Society Exam equivalent to B.Tech/B.E./B.Arch
- M. Sc./M.A./MCA or equivalent
- M.E/M.Tech (Post-B.Sc.)
- M.E./M.Tech or Dual Degree (after Diploma or 10+2)
- M.Sc/Int. B.S.-M.S.
- Those who have completed section A of AMIE or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible to apply their application form.
Note: All those contestants who have obtained their qualifying degree from countries other than India must have following criteria: i) Candidate must have completed or must have in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree (course duration should be minimum 04 years) in Engineering/Technology OR ii) Candidate must have completed or must have in the final year of their Post Graduation (Master’s) degree (course duration should be minimum 02 years) in any relevant subject of science. If a contestant has any higher degree or already obtained a degree higher than mentioned above, then he/she should select the minimum required qualifying degree while filling up the online application form. Those contestants having qualification as per criteria set by the Government can register their application form by logging to the official website link uploaded below.
There is no age limit for applying to this Graduate Aptitude Test. The Entrance Examination to held on 23 Subjects. The Examination for all the 23 subjects (papers) will be conducted as ONLINE Computer Based Test (CBT) only. The online test paper will have some questions for which numerical answers must be keyed in by the candidate using the virtual keypad. The rest of questions will be Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Type. One thing is clear here that if you want to crack this exam with a good score, then hard work is mandatory. Admit Card Availability Details: The Admit Cards for this entrance examination will be made available only on the GOAPS website from 05th of January 2018. Those who apply can download their Admit Card from the website by submitting necessary details. Candidates will not get their Admit Cards through postal or courier. Also, exam hall ticket will not send as the e-mail attachment. The hard copy of Admit Card will be required to gain entry into the examination centre. Here all candidates informed not to bring a soft copy of the Admit Card (in mobile phone or tablet or laptop) to gain entry to the examination hall.
Examination Centers: It will be held in selected cities and towns of India as well as in the abroad cities like Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal), and Singapore. A contestant can choose 03 (three) cities from the examination cities list. The first and second choices must be from the same zone while the third choice can be from any zone.
Result Details: As mentioned in the notification, the authority will declare results on 17th March 2018. The result will be available on the online web portal only. Candidates can check their result and download scorecard only by inserting the necessary details.
