- Indian Citizens
- A person of Indian origin migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Malawi, Zambia, and Zaire with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- A person from Nepal, Bhutan and a Tibetan Refugee who come to India before 01.01.1962 with an intention to settling down.
Age Limitation: Those candidates looking forward to this Common Written Exam should have their age as per criteria mentioned by the officials in a notification. The Age Limit for Unreserved and Reserved Categories are as follows.
- Maximum 28 years and Minimum 20 years of age for General Category.
- Upper age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category applicants in accordance with Central Government Norms.

Selection Procedure: The final selection of applicants to be done based on their performance in the selection process consist of following tasks:-
