According to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission‘s notification, the selection of candidates will be done in two successive stages, i.e. main written examination and oral test. So, the Tamil Nadu PSC is going to conduct a Written Exam (Paper – I & Paper – II) on January 06th, 2019 for the direct recruitment of Assistant Jailors in Prison Department. This examination will be held at total 32 districts of the state. The written test consists of two paper and both papers will carry 300 marks. It will be OMR based test. Both of these papers will be organized in the same day but in different shifts. The Paper-I will be held in Morning Session from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM while Paper-II in Afternoon Session from 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM. In a Paper-I, the questions will be set in both Tamil and English. Paper-II will be degree standard and objective type. It will have topics like General Studies, Aptitude & Mental Ability Test and General Tamil/ General English. Participants will be selected based on their total marks obtained from the written Test (600 marks) and Oral Test (80 marks).
