The Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test is an entrance examination for teachers. It was introduced by the Government of India (GOI) for improving standards and quality in teaching. This test is compulsory for those contestants who want teaching jobs in government schools from Classes I to VIII. This is the second time that Telangana state conducting Teacher Eligibility Test after separation from the Andhra Pradesh. The state government has authorized Department of School Education for conducting TET examination of this academic year. Almost all the states of India conduct this examination every year to recruit huge numbers of well-qualified teachers for their schools. It is organized to achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act. A couple of months back on 13th June, TS TET 2017 Notification released to fill up 8792 teacher posts for Classes 1 to 8 in the schools. Recently on 23/07/17 (Sunday), the Department of School Education, Hyderabad has conducted TSTET Examination in all 10 (ten) Districts of the state. The examination held for the two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates who intend to be teachers for Classes 1 to 5 have attended Paper 1 exam from 09:30 AM to 12:00 Noon. Those who intended to be teachers for Classes 6 to 8 given Paper 2 exam from 02:30 PM to 05:00 PM. Those contestants willing to teach the students of Class 1 to 8 have appeared for both papers. The Paper-I hosted for total 150 marks with 150 questions on subjects like child development, language 1, language 2, mathematics, environmental science. The Paper-II organized on topics like child development & pedagogy, language 1, language 2, mathematics, science and social science for total 150 marks. According to data, around one lakh applicants have applied and participated in this examination for proving their ability. Here, we notify every candidate that State Government has already announced 40% marks for SC/ ST, 50% marks for Backward Caste and 60% marks for General Category as TS TET cut off marks. So, those participants who score above cut-off marks will be declared qualified for counseling. In accordance with NCTE Guidelines, TS-TET 2017 Certificate/ Score Card will be valid for a period of 07 (seven) years only from the examination date. As per recent update, we are expecting the TS Teacher Eligibility Test Results official link would be published in the mid of August month.
