However, on 24-08-2020 (Monday), GUJCET Examination is being conducted by the state education board to fill up seats in the Degree Engineering and Diploma/ Degree Pharmacy Courses. Total 1,33,820 students have applied their application but only 1,32,521 turned up for the examination. The exam was hosted for 360 minutes (06 hours) from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM at various cities of the state. The question paper had total 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) with 04 options. This entry-level test had 03 sections such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of 40 marks each. The candidates will get a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Most contestants who took the exam have said that physics section was slightly harder than the others. They further claimed that questions in physics section were twisted and not directly asked from the textbooks. Gujarat Common Entrance Test is now limited to Engineering & Pharmacy courses only. Like every academic year, GUJCET Exam Result will be declared after 20-25 days of the examination. Every contestant has to use their hall ticket number or seat number while accessing result from the authorized website. About Gujarat Common Entrance Test: It is a state level medical entrance examination conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board every year.
