West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or WB-JEE is a state government controlled centralized test for admission to many private and government medical and engineering institution in West Bengal. There are actually two separate tests for medical colleges and engineering colleges, the difference being that the medical test has the Biology paper while the engineering test has the Mathematics paper. This exam is only valid for those who studied Science stream in plus two levels with the specific subjects tested in the examination, like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology.
Recently, the Examination Cell of WBJEE has successfully conducted the entrance exam for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses at various examination centers for eligible candidates on 5th & 6th May 2015. Approx. 3 lakh students had appeared in the WBJEE 2015 across state in order to continue their further studies in Medical or Engineering filled. As per rule of JEE, students who clear above examination will be eligible to get admission into various 1st year Bachelor of Engineering, Architecture, Technology & Pharmacy streams according to their choice.
