TANGEDCO Apprentice 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for Apprenticeship Training 2023-24 in TANGEDCO must fulfill the eligibility criteria set by Tamilnadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices. Minimum Educational Qualifications:-

• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a University in relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

Age Limit:-

• The age limit will adhere to the regulations outlined in the Apprenticeship Rules.

Minimum Physical Standards:-

• As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules 1992, and amendments thereof if any.

TANGEDCO Apprentice 2024 Selection Process

The Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is entrusted with the responsibility of creating a shortlist based on the data submitted through online applications. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks acquired in the relevant disciplines’ prescribed basic qualifications. Those who are shortlisted will receive notification through their registered email addresses. Further, shortlisted candidates must attend a Certificate Verification session at the TANGEDCO office premises.

Students who have enrolled and have login credentials can apply online by logging in to https://portal.mhrdnats.gov.in. Those who have not yet enrolled can register at nats.education.gov.in and then submit their application form. Here is the step-by-step procedure for registration and submission of the Apprentice Application in TANGEDCO (STNCHS000024):-

Steps for students who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) and have login details:-

• 1st Step – Login with your Email ID/ Mobile Number/ USER ID.
• 2nd Step – Click on the ‘Establishment Request’ Menu
• 3rd Step – Now, press the ‘Find Establishment’ tab.
• 4th Step – Upload Resume as per the instructions.
• 5th Step – Choose Establishment name
• 6th Step – Type “TANGEDCO” and search
• 7th Step – Click on the ‘Apply’ link.
• 8th Step – Click the button named ‘Apply Again’.

Steps for students who have not so far enrolled in the National Web Portal:-

• 1st Step – Go to https://nats.education.gov.in
• 2nd Step – Click the ‘Student’ link available on the homepage.
• 3rd Step – Press the ‘Student Register’ tab.
• 4th Step – Complete the Application Form
• 5th Step – A unique Enrollment Number (ATN…………..) of 12 digits for each student will be generated after completing the Enrollment.
• 6th Step – Login with the login credentials.
• 7th Step – Search the “TANGEDCO” tab under Apply against advertised vacancies
• 8th Step – Click the Apply (You have successfully applied for the vacancy) link.

Please Note: Percentage of marks in the Graduate/ Diploma/ Non Engg. Graduate Examination is mandatory. Hence candidates must compulsorily enter a percentage of marks in the column “% of marks / CGPAx10” in the NATS portal. Candidature will not be considered if % of marks are not furnished.
