• No age limit will be required to apply for this Teacher Eligibility Test. According to the R & P Rules, the appointing authority will consider the age criteria during the appointment process.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:-

• TGT (Arts):
  • B.A./ B.Com. with minimum 50% marks along with 01 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed); OR
  • B.A./ B.Com. with at least 45% marks (only for those who have passed B.Ed. up to 30th August 2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30th August 2009) along with 01 year B.Ed. in accordance with NCTE regulations issued from time to time in this regard; OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 04 years B.El.Ed or B.A.Ed.; OR
  • B.A./ B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 01 year B.Ed. (Special Education).
• TGT (Non-Medical):
  • B.Sc. (NM) with minimum 50% marks along with 01 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed); OR

  • B.A. with minimum 45% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 01 year B.Ed. in accordance with the NCTE Regulations issued from time to time in this regard; OR

HP TET 2024 Syllabus/ Exam Pattern

HP Teacher Eligibility Test Syllabus/ Exam Pattern: In the examination, the authority will set a paper containing objective type questions of one mark each. The general category candidates need to score minimum qualifying marks i.e. 60 per cent for clearing the exam. There is no negative marking system. No marks will deduct by officials for any wrong answer written in the paper. The exam time duration will be of 02 hours and 30 minutes i.e. total 150 minutes. For better preparation, candidates are also advised to go through previous year papers/ last year exam papers, reference materials, etc.

All contestants shall have to shade against the appropriate choice in OMR Response Sheet with Blue or Black Ball Point Pen adhering to the instructions provided by officials. As contestants will have no option to change the answers once marked, so before darkening the circle, correct answer may be ensured by them.

HP TET 2024 Admit Card

Admit Card/ Call Letter: The Admit Card shall be issued only to those applicants who have submitted their Application Form complete in all respects within the stipulated due date, i.e. 30th October 2023. HP TET Admit Card 2024 for all eligible candidates to be uploaded on the Board’s website 4 days before the commencement of exams. Eligible applicants will be able to download & print Admit Card for entrance to Examination Centre by visiting the online web portal. The Board will not issue Admit Card to Candidates separately by postal service or any other services.

Himachal TET Admit Card carries details like Applicant’s Name, Roll Number, Photograph, Applicant’s Signature, Examination Centre Address, Test Schedule, etc. Candidates should carefully go through their Admit Card. If any discrepancy, then immediately be brought to the notice of the Board. Candidates must note that Admit Card compulsorily needed for appearing in the examination.

HP Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Result 2024

Result/ Merit List Details: In the prospectus, the board has mentioned for declaring the result of TET Examination in a month of January/ February 2024. As and when officials release the results of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), it will be available on the HPBOSE Board’s Official Website. Aspirants can check out their HP TET result only by submitting the Roll Number or Application Number in a login page. The result copy of candidates will be available at the online portal for at least 06-07 months. A fully computerized system will be adopted for evaluation of the answer scripts using optical mark reader (OMR) for the result preparation.

About HP TET Certificate Validity Date

Certificate Validity Details: As mentioned in the official notification, the HP-TET qualifying certificate would remain lifetime valid for an appointment for all categories, i.e. TGT (Arts/ NM/ Medical), Shastri, Language Teacher, JBT, Punjabi & Urdu. For acquiring an HP TET Certificate, there will be no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can take. A candidate who has qualified TET & not satisfied with marks may also appear again to improve his/ her score.
