GSEB is an abbreviation of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board. The Gujarat Board was established on 1st May 1960 as a Government of Gujarat Body. It is very popular board in the Gujarat State and conducts all school level exams.  The main responsibilities of the Board include academics, conducting examination and research and development. The Board also performs the duties of recognizing new schools, performance evaluation of schools and inspection of various schools associated with the Board. It also recruits qualified aspirants in various government schools to maintain quality of education. The main academic tasks of GSEB are the preparation of syllabus for secondary schools and also the recommendation of text-books to be taught in govt schools.

Every year GSEB organizes two main examinations i.e. The Secondary School Certificate exam for Standard 10 and the Higher Secondary Certificate exam for Standard 12 in Gujarat. This year more than 10 lakhs students took part in the main exam and only 54.42% have passed. Recently from 5th to 11th July 2015, Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board have successfully conducted the supplementary exams (Purak Pariksha) of 10th Class as per schedule at various examination venues across the state. Approx. 4 Lakhs students had participated in this exam with better preparation and determination to de well this time in order to continue their further studies. The main aim of organizing supplementary exams is to save academic year and to give one more opportunity to the failed students, who fail to clear main exanimation of secondary school of 10th class in March/April 2015. Candidates who scores passing marks will be applicable to the higher secondary and other courses in relevant discipline as per their desire.

According to fresh news, the official authority of Gujarat Board will upload GSEB 10th Supplementary Result in the last week of July 2015 or in the first week of August 2015. As we all know students and parents are desperately waiting for publication of results to know whether this time they will pass or have to waste another year. Students should keep ready their admit card or seat no./roll no. for checking marks by online mode through its main portal as result can declare at any time.
