Recently, on December 30, 2018 (Sunday), the TN Electricity Department successfully hosted the Competitive Written Exam for the post of Assistant Engineer in Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation Limited. As per schedule, the board has organised this objective-type written test for 100 marks in the morning shift at various venues of Chennai, Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruchirapalli, Vellore, Madurai, Villupuram and Tirunelveli.

The question paper for TANGEDCO AE Written Examination is of Engineering Degree Standard in OMR format. The question paper is divided into 03 parts, i.e. PART-I (20 marks) ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS, PART-II (20 marks) BASIC ENGINEERING & SCIENCES and PART-III (60 marks) CONCERNED DISCIPLINE. The paper was set in English for Electrical Engineering, while for Civil, in English as well as Tamil.

About Tamil Nadu Electricity Board

Tamilnadu EB was established in the year 1957 on 01st July as “Madras State Electricity Board” under section 54 of the Electricity Act 1948. It is a Public Sector Undertaking State Government organisation which is responsible for power generation, transmission and distribution within the TN state. It is headquartered in Chennai.
