Eligibility Criteria for SSC JE Exam 2025
CITIZENSHIP/ NATIONALITY: The applying aspirants must be either citizens of India, Nepal, Bhutan & Tibetan refugees. SSC Junior Engineer 2025 Exam Application Fee
The category-wise application fee to apply for SSC JE Exam is as follows:-
- General/ OBC/ EWS Category Candidates: Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only)
- Woman Candidates and SC/ ST/ PH/ Ex-Servicemen Candidates: Exempted from paying application fees.
- The Commission will accept only those fees paid in respect of online application via BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit Card or Debit Card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
- The fee once paid will not be refunded by the authority under any circumstances nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.
How to Apply Online SSC JE Application Form 2025?
As we have mentioned in the above section, the SSC JE online application will be available only from 12 August 2022 to 2 September 2022 upto 11:00 PM. Here it is to inform contestants that all applications must be submitted online only as no other mode of registration is accepted by the Commission. All those candidates who want to apply for the examination are required to register themselves at the official website (www.ssc.nic.in).
Those application forms registered without a photograph or signature or with a Blurred photograph/ signature or incomplete in any manner will be rejected summarily by the Commission. The procedure for online submission of the application is as follows:-
Steps to Apply for SSC Junior Engineer Exam 2025
- 1st Step – Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission, i.e. ssc.nic.in.
- 2nd Step – On a homepage, find a link titled “Click Here to Apply” and then open it.
- 3rd Step – First of all, download the examination notice pdf file and read all the instructions carefully.
- 4th Step – Now go to the Registration Part and register your details like Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, DOB, Gender, Level of Educational Qualification, Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number, Email ID, etc.
- 5th Step – As soon as you complete the registration part, your Registration Number and Password will display on the screen.
- 6th Step – Next step, log in to Apply Part using Registration Number and Password.
- 7th Step – Fill up all the mandatory details without making any mistakes in an application form.
- 8th Step – Upload your scanned colour passport size recent photograph [size: 20 KB to 50 KB & dimension: 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height)], scanned copy of signature [size: 10 KB to 20 KB & dimension: 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height)] in JPEG format and other certificates. (Note: The photo should not be more than three months old from the date of Notification, and, the date on which the photograph has been taken should be printed on the photo.)
- 9th Step – Pay the examination fee through online or offline sources.
- 10th Step – Applicants who want to pay fees via online mode can go through Debit/ Credit cards, net banking, etc.
- 11th Step – At last, don’t forget to download and print the application form for further procedure.

SSC Junior Engineer 2025 Selection Process
To crack SSC Jr. Engineer jobs in Govt sectors listed above, all applicants will have to pass the various exams on scheduled dates. Here the Staff Selection Commission will make the final selection of eligible candidates based on their marks scored and performance in the following tasks:-
- Computer Based Examination (Paper 1)
- Descriptive Type Written Examination (Paper 2)

According to the selection methodology, those candidates who apply their application for the JE vacancy need to attend the Online Exam for Paper I on the scheduled date by downloading the Admit Card from an official website. Applicants who are shortlisted on the basis of performance in a Paper-1 exam will be invited to participate in the Paper-II Written Exam by issuing an Admit Card. At last, eligible aspirants will be shortlisted and recommended for appointment by the Commission based on their total marks in Paper 1 & Paper 2 and their preference for the posts.

SSC JE Admit Card 2025
The Staff Selection Commission will issue JEN Exam Admission Certificates (ACs) indicating the timetable and also venues of the exam to each candidate about 02 (two) weeks before the examination date. All the contestants have to download their Admit Card from the website of the Regional/ Sub Regional Office concerned. The call letter for examination will not be sent by post. Every candidate must carry at least one original Photo ID proof and Admit Card for entry into the test venue. All applicants should bring 03 (three) passport-size colour photographs on examination day. All those aspirants not carrying photographs will be not allowed to write their papers.
As and when available to download online, candidates must take a printout of their e-Admit Card well in advance to avoid last minute rush. If any candidate does not get an Admit Card 01 (one) week prior exam date, then he/ she must contact the concerned Regional or Sub Regional Office(s) of the Commission with details such as Registration ID, SBI Transaction ID, Copy of Challan, etc.
SSC Junior Engineer Result/ Merit List 2025
The Staff Selection Commission will release the results of the Computer Based Examination (Paper I) and Written Examination (Paper II) one by one at their official website. All the candidates will be able to see their marks only after 05-06 days of result declaration. In the Paper-1 merit list pdf file, the commission will publish the Roll Number and Name rank-wise of those applicants qualified for Paper 2. Likewise in the Paper 2 merit list, they will release the Name & Roll Number of aspirants eligible for document verification.
