Allocation of Post wise Vacancies:
- Executive Police: 1000 posts.
- Armed Police: 3000 posts.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2015):
- Appropriate contestants age should be Minimum 18 years and Maximum 28 years.
- Those who born before 1st Jan. 1987 and after 1st Jan. 1997 are not eligible.
- The Upper-age limit shall be applicable as per norms of JK Government and brief details can be obtained from notification.
Educational Qualifications:
- Interested aspirants must have passed SSC/10th Class exam or intermediate (10+2) Examination or its equivalent education from a Government recognized School.
Application Fee (Non-refundable):
Note: The application fee should be paid as Demand Draft (DD)/postal order obtained from any of Branch of J&K Bank or Post Office, payable to Chief Accounts Officer PHQ, payable at Jammu/Srinagar.

Salary (per month):
- The selected contestants for above Armed/Executive Police job vacancy will get best Pay Band of Rs. 5,200/- to Rs. 20,200/- (i.e. Pay Band-1) plus Grade Pay of Rs. 1,900/-.
Physical Standard:
- For male candidates: Height: mini. 5’-6” and Chest: 32” (unexpanded), 33.5” (expanded).
- For female candidates: Height: mini. 5’-2”.
Selection Procedure:
The final selection of contenders for the post of Constable will be done on the basis of their performance in below given tests:
- Physical Endurance Test (PET),
- Physical Standard Test (PST),
- Written Examination/Test (Objective type),
- Personal Interview & Certificate Verification.
