Telangana TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for TG TET 2026 should have the following minimum qualifications required for a teacher of classes I to V (Paper I) and classes VI to VIII (Paper II) separately:-

• Minimum Qualifications For TG-TET PAPER-1 (Classes 1 to 5):-
  • Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates) AND pass in 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education/ 04 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/ 02 years Diploma in Education (Special Education); OR
  • Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates) AND pass in 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education/ 04 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/ 02 years Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of those aspirants who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed/ D.Ed.
• Minimum Qualifications For TG-TET PAPER-2 (Classes 6 to 8):-
  • B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com. with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates) AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Course/ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed – Special Education); OR
  • B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com. with at least 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates) AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Course/ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed – Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to B.Ed; OR
  • 04 years B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled person); OR
  • Graduation with Language concerned as one of the optional subjects/ Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent)/ Graduation in Literature/ Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers; OR
  • B.E/ B.Tech with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled person) AND Passed/ Pursuing Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or B.Ed. (Special Education).

• 1st Step – Open an official web portal of the Telangana State School Education Board or just open a link posted below.
• 2nd Step – On the homepage, find a highlighted link titled “Notification for Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TGTET), January-2026” and then click on it.
• 3rd Step – First of all, download the notification to your device and read out the necessary details as mentioned in it.

• 5th Step – Fill up your details (i.e. Name, Father Name, Mother Name & Date of Birth – DOB as per Secondary Education Board Class X Certificate, etc.) in the application form without making any mistakes.

TG-TET Exam 2026 Structure, Content and Syllabus

Aspirants can check the structure and content of the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test from the following paragraphs. There will be 02 (two) papers on TET. Paper I will be for Classes I to V teachers, while Paper II for teachers of Classes VI to VIII. A candidate who intends to be a teacher either for classes I to V or for classes VI to VIII shall have to appear for both papers. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.

TG Education Department officials are looking for knowledgeable and experienced teachers who match the criteria of the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the Written Examination and Interview. TG TET 2026 Pass Criteria

TG TET 2026 Hall Ticket

The Board will issue the Admit Card for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test through their official website. Aspirants can download their TGTET Exam Hall Ticket only by providing the Registration Number on the login page. Also, you can just press the Telangana TET 2025 Hall Ticket link to collect your Call Letter & other relevant details. 01 (one) photo ID proof along with a Hall Ticket, will be needed to enter the examination venue.

Aspirants who could not download the hall ticket can contact the authority personally with details such as the Journal Number of the Fee paid, the Reference Number of the Application submitted, a copy of the Application Form Printout and one photograph (same photo as pasted on the application form).
