Eastern Railway Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2023

Aspirants will have to compulsorily fulfil the eligibility criteria for Eastern Railway Apprentices to be able to apply for the training slot. Hence, aspirants should ensure that they are eligible in respect of the RRC ER Act Apprentice Age Limit & Educational Qualifications as stipulated below:-

Age Limit:-

1. Candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 29th October 2022.
2. The Upper Age Limit is relaxable for reserved categories as follows:-
   • 05 (five) years for SC/ ST
   • 03 (three) years for OBC-NCL
   • 10 (ten) years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD).
   • Additional 10 (ten) years for Ex-Servicemen up to the extent of service rendered in Defence Forces.

Educational Qualifications:-

1. Passed 10th Class Examination or its equivalent under 10+2 Examination System with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate (excluding additional subjects) from recognized Board.
2. Should possess an ITI Certificate (National Trade Certificate) from an institute affiliated with NCVT/ SCVT compulsory in relevant trade.
3. The minimum educational qualification is 08th class pass from a recognized School and the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/ SCVT for the following Trades:-
   • Welder (Gas and Electric)
   • Sheet Metal Worker
   • Lineman
   • Wireman
   • Carpenter
   • Painter (General)

About Application Fee (Non-Refundable): Candidates will have to make the payment of fees online through ‘Payment Gateway’ while filling up the online form. Category-wise Application Fee as follows:-

Eastern Railway Apprentice Selection Process 2023

About Selection Process for Apprentice Training Slots in units of RRC Eastern Railway, some important points are as follows:-

• The selection of candidates for training slots is based on their academic percentages. The marks obtained in the Matriculation & ITI will be taken into account for determining the select list for Document Verification.
• Eligible contestants will be invited for Document Verification to the extent of 1.5 times the notified vacancies in the respective communities as per their merit order.
• The selected aspirants will have to pass the prescribed medical examination & physical fitness.
• As the selection is purely merit-based, so Railway has not appointed any facilitation centre/ coaching centre.

RRC Eastern Railway Apprentice Result 2023

RRC ER Result/ Merit List Details: As the selection of candidates based on their Academic Merit (with minimum 50% aggregate marks), so result might take at least 01-02 months to declare online. The department will publish a list of selected candidates at their official website only. Applicants will get an update about their result release date from this page as and when officially announced. In this recruitment process, no centralized merit list will be formed by the Railway Recruitment Cell while preparing selection list. About Eastern Railway (ER)
