Eligibility Criteria for LIC ADO 2023
Candidates should be fully aware of LIC ADO Eligibility Criteria needed for recruitment exam. Aspirants must satisfy the conditions of Apprentice Development Officer eligibility & requisite experience as on 01-01-2023. LIC ADO educational qualification, age limit, experience, etc., are as follows:-
Nationality:-
- A candidate applying for ADO post must be a citizen of India.
Educational Qualifications:-
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in India established under a statute/ approved for the purpose OR the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.
Age Limitation:-
- Above 21 years and below 30 years as on 1st January 2023 [i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1993 and not later than 1st January 2002 (both days inclusive)].
- Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates as per Central Govt norms.
Experience:-
- LIC Employee Category: At least 03 years of service after confirmation in Class III cadre in LIC of India.
- LIC Agents Category or other than Agent, such as DSAs/ FSEs:
- For Recruitment in Urban Area: At least 05 years as a LIC agent or other than Agent, such as DSAs/ FSEs, and has brought a Net First Year Premium Income of not less than Rs. 5,00,000/- during the immediately preceding 05 financial years and a Net First Year Premium Income of not less than Rs. 1,00,000/- on 50 lives in any 03 (Three) of these financial years.
- For Recruitment in Rural Area: At least 04 years as a LIC agent or other than Agent, such as DSAs/ FSEs, and has brought a Net First Year Premium Income of not less than Rs. 1,00,000/- on 50 lives per year in any 03 of the immediately preceding 04 financial years.
- Others Category (Open Market): Preference would be given to candidates having at least 02 years of experience in the life insurance industry or in the marketing of financial products.
LIC ADO Pay Scale
About Salary: Candidates selected as Probationary Development Officer will get a basic pay of Rs. 35,650/- per month (except for LIC Employee Category) in a scale of 35650-2200(2)-40050-2595(2)-45240-2645 (17)-90205 & other admissible allowances as per rules. However, the total emoluments at the minimum of the scale will be inclusive of House Rent Allowance & City Compensatory Allowance, wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city, will be approximately Rs. 56,000/- in an ‘A’ Class City.

Here is the complete structure of LIC Apprentice Development Officer (Prelims & Mains) Examination in the below description:-
Preliminary Examination
- The Preliminary Examination consisting of an Objective type Multiple Choice Test, will be held Online.
- The Prelims will consist of 100 questions for 100 marks for a composite duration of 01 hour.
- The Prelims Exam will have 03 (three) Sections (i.e. Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability & English Language) with separate timings for each section.
- All tests except the English Language will be provided in English & Hindi.
- The test of English Language will be qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be counted for ranking.
- There will be no penalty for wrong answers in the pre exam.
